Folk Culture In The Northeast Rural TV Plays For The New Century

At the beginning of the21st century, with Liu Laogen’s on, the Northeast RuralTV plays come to a new era of all-round development and booming. The TV playssuch as Liu Laogen series, Holy Water and Lake Shore, Full of Love in Countrysideseries, Sunshine on the Road and a "field trilogy" Hopeful Field, Beautiful Field,Internal Field have blown a strong flavor of Dongbei Wind on the screen. TheNortheast Rural TV plays take northeast rural civilian life as the background andreflect the civilian’s ordinary way of production and living and spiritual outlook.Differ from other type of TV plays, the Northeast Rural TV Plays pay more attentionto original excavation and use of folk culture, that is one advantage that why this kindof TV plays could achieve such a great achievement.Applying the academic research and text analysis, from the contents in theperspective of folklore, this paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of thefolk culture use in the Northeast Rural TV plays since the new century. Using the folkculture successfully in TV plays has a good reference value to Chinese TV plays(especially regional characteristics Rural TV plays), however, the insufficiencies alsoremind us of keeping rethinking and improving. From the respect of folk culture, thedisplay of northeast folk culture by Northeast Rural TV plays could offer good use forreference for folklore studies.
