On The Recreative Discrpancies Between Art Songs And Opera Arias

Art songs and aria opera are developed by the bel canto, which are still twoimportant forms widely used today. Art songs are considered as music and poetry, aperfect combination of vocal and instrumental music. Art songs are so delicate andcharming, just like the classical, gentle and graceful Suzhou Gardens. While opera is acombination of music and drama, as well as the collision between vocal sounds andliterature. Like the ancient Greek temples, which are magnificent, brilliant, chokinghuman up with emotions.This paper gives a comparative analysis of singing features between the art song"Widmung"and aria opera “Mon Coeur s’ouvre a ta voix”from the historicalbackground, development, creating and performance differences.Furthermore, it discusses difference of requirements of signing and performingbetween the art songs and aria opera.It aims to provide guidance for the following researchers and contribute to theteaching both in theory and practice of Vocal music arts.
