Practice Report Of Conference Interpreting In The Department Of Agriculture And Animal Husbandry In Ningxia

In recent years, as research continues in conference interpreting, more people apply translation theories to practice, and provide theoretical foundation to their practice. Professor Daniel Gile is one of the most famous researchers in this field. He has done many practical researches. One of the most famous achievements is his "Effort Model".This report is based on the author’s conference interpreting in the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in Ningxia. The conference is about alleviation of poverty through development in Ningxia and the author’s task is to introduce this to delegations from Southeast Asia through interpreting. This report systematically analyzes each stage from such aspects as background of the interpreting, preparation before interpreting and performances of the author. The report uses Gile’s "Effort Model" as the theoretical foundation. The aim of this report is to point out the mistakes in the process of interpreting and find out methods to solve them. The author wishes that the report can provide guidance for people who are in interpreting field in the future.
