The development of historical philosophy has experienced a similar process to philosophy, from ontology to epistemology and then develops to narrative stage. After the development of these several stages makes the historical philosophy gradually enriched and that continues this branch and make it has the value of existence. The emerged of narrative is an important turning point during the development of historical philosophy, and it created a new issue in the postmodern historical philosophy research field, changed the condition of previous historical philosophy and history which is only aimed at reflects the authenticity of the past, such a transition makes people begin to pay attention to the effects of narrative for historical philosophy. The better use of narrative makes people more interested in history. Therefore, such a transition is extremely important to the development of historical philosophy.Hayden White is an important representative person during the transitional period. This article is analyzed the thoughts of Hayden White’s historical philosophy, the purpose is to comprehend his thoughts, and then understood historical philosophy from one side more deeply. The article made a brief analysis of White’s historical philosophy thoughts. After a brief introduction and carding of the development of the historical philosophy, begin to analysis White’s thoughts, and in each chapter analysis his way of historiography, which is historical narrative philosophy, and the effects of political stance for historical writing in his consideration and his own comprehension of historical teleology, and his influence on postmodernism philosophy, etc. The general purpose is understanding and comprehends White’s thoughts from the view of his historical philosophy.
