Chinese civilization has a long history up and down five thousand years. Rich culturalheritage and non-material heritage is an important part of cultural heritage, which has becomethe vivid national characteristic of Chinese civilization country standing in the world.However, many intangible cultural heritage of the situation is not optimistic in our country.The modernization process and the deteriorating environment brought obstacles to intangiblecultural heritage protection. Until recent decades, our country strengthen the protection ofintangible cultural heritage work gradually. It is a new lease on life for non-material culturalheritage and brings new opportunity. But there are still three big factors restricting thenon-material cultural heritage protection work: one is emphasis affected by historical reasons,is still not high; Affected by the economic development, ecological environment continues todecline; Three is the shortage of fund raising channels, the protection funds implementationdoes not reach the designated position. In order to further protect and inherit intangiblecultural heritage in our country, we should actively advocating intangible cultural heritageprotection and tourism development combined with the principle of tourism development onintangible cultural heritage as growth pole, and through the development of tourism industrydrive the non-material cultural heritage protection work. Intangible cultural heritageprotection, is the trend of The Times. And aslo is every citizen’s unavoidable historicalresponsibility.This paper summarizes the theory of non-material cultural heritage related concepts, thenmainly analyzes the present situation of intangible cultural heritage and the main problem, inShanxi Province and the non-material cultural heritage resources development and tourismdevelopment the necessity and feasibility analysis, for example, to explore patterns ofnon-material cultural heritage development. Concluded that we must combine non-materialcultural heritage protection and tourism development, and deal with the relations betweendevelopment and protection in the resource development process, sets up the general principleof people-oriented, effectively protect the use of all kinds of intangible cultural heritage in ourcountry.
