Research On The Signage System Of Wuhan Zoo

Wuhan zoo has its unique charm as the only state-owned zoo in the city,it is a funplace for teenage children and can provide them with general knowledge. The signagesystem of Wuhan zoo has the unique function, it’s the carrier of information and imagedescription of a specific environment. To provide effective information for thetourists,on the one hand, visitors can receive the information from the signage logo; onthe other hand, the signage system design reflects humanistic care and emotionaldesign, it’s become an important part of the environment.With the development of economy, the quality of life and aesthetic ability isimproving，the signage system of Wuhan zoo should also keeps up with the pace of theTimes development，be transformed to a visual focus, market competitive, practicalfunction, human nature and artistic quality of a mesh system， for building aharmonious environment for the tourists.Due to the investment, choice of design,management and other factors, the signage system has many problems in the aspects ofdesign, planning, and managementcurrently. The most prominent problems are the lackof interesting interactive，human emotional experience and the effectiveness of themessage.Therefore, we should rebuild the signage system design of Wuhan zoo,fromthe view of graphic design, we must do the analysis of the characteristics and exsitingproblem of the signage system, and then put forward the solution and the new designidea. It is very important to improve the overall image level of Wuhan Zoo.Based on this background and the theory and practical research methods, weanalyze and research the Signage System of Wuhan Zoo in this paper. Article isdivided into five parts: the first chapter elaborated the selected topic reason, theresearch significance and the present situation, etc. The second chapter began from theconcept of signage system, analyzed the signage system design principles and elements.It is the theoretical support for the research topic; The third chapter analyzed thecurrent situation of the signage system and summarized the problem through field investigation; The fourth chapter summarized the new solution, the design points andthe new elements of constructing campus guide system, concerning the existingproblems of the signage system. The last section summarized the research of thesubject, if the signage system design transforms to be more modern, standardized,more interesting practicability, friendly and humanized, it will do better service fortourists, and provide them with comfortable feeling and the human experience. So thesignage system can seize the opportunity and meet the challenge in the competitivemarket.
