The piano manufacture industry of20th century was in a rapid changes andprogress. With more superior quality, the modern piano can bear greater strength andshow more tone changes, and this is one of the benefits for the piano brought by theindustry development. For this reason, many modern pianists are searching a way tocreate transcriptions rather than satisfying in playing the works of anterior composers.We have to admit that the creativity and infectivity of classic music is beyond modernmusic, but as a unique creation form, piano transcription develops and enriches theoriginal composition based on the structure of classic music. Volodos, Russian newpianist, is famous of creating and performing the piano transcriptions in the piano world.Some of his works are recomposed by operas and symphonies. Due to his novel andspecial ways in recomposing, his transcriptions are most welcome by piano enthusiasts.The piano transcriptions can not only be played as solo piano piece but also canmake the classic music presented to the public with a totally new style,which make thepiano music grow.After I collected the information of Volodos’s piano transcription, I found thedomestic researches on this creation were quite less. Hence, I attempt to make acomprehensive analysis of Volodo’s transcriptions through the internet, books, researchpapers and other audio-visual materials, thus illustrating the influence for thedevelopment of piano and music brought by the piano transcriptions.
