A Lexical Semantic Study Of Noodle Naming In North China

This thesis is a case study on面mian name lexicon and lexical semantic feature in China dishes name lexical semantic by observing and collecting and investigating面mian name lexicon data in Xi’an, in the central GuanZhong region,in north China. Drawing on first-hand sources and data or corpus, mainly relate to the collected language data include lexicon and lexical phrase. This thesis intends to lighten new light a relation in the lexicon and lexical phrase by analyzing the connection of lexical meaning or semantic between intra-lexicon and inter-lexicon. The goal of study is to reveal the feature of lexical formation and lexical semantic features in面nian name lexicon.Utilizing the traditional research approach "bring out facts and reasons Or present facts and reasons things out", just as the positive study. Based on objective existence面mian name lexicon and lexical phrase, we have attempted to classify them into eight Chinese character groups with containing how many characters. Attempting to discuss how to name the lexicon and lexical phrase by the syntactical functions and morphological features, unclog and readjust how to name the面mian name lexicon and lexical phrase,and then find out the common principle. Attempting to discuss the lexical meaning or semantic on the面mian name lexicon and面mian name lexical phrase by the approach of component analysis. Mainly reply why name them like this? And why the word order or collocation like this by analyzing the element of lexicon and lexical meaning or semantic with the relation between discourse activities and component of lexical semantic and dialectical relations of lexical semantic structure. Findings show that it is on a word order or collocation that is a relation with the central word/character the closer and the closer. the further and the further. It is interested that the relation in Chinese is as same as in English. The verb prioritizes the adjective, and the adjective prioritizes the noun. At same time, the lexical semantic that develops from the simple to the complex and from the low to the high and from the vague to the clear in the process. This thesis includes five chapters in sum. The first chapter is on Instruction that mainly indicate study object, study significance, literature review, theoretical methods, study methods and study corpus or language data. Chapter2is on the basic conditions on面mian name lexical formation and lexical-semantic that mainly discuss objection existence, and then unclog and readjust the order of the面mian name lexicon and面mian name lexical phrase, and indicate the reasons. Chapter3is on the relation between discourse activities and component of lexical-meaning or semantic. Chapter4is on the dialectical relations of lexical semantic structure. Discussing the lexical meaning or semantic with the reference in possibilities, and related to the factors on generation and cognition and culture and so on. Chapter5is the last on conclusion that about some practical applications with a happy end, at the same time with calling us for thinking about the future more.
