As one of the popular mass culture, cartoon has its special appeal and application value. It has also made great achievements in the artistic creation and commercial use. As a unique "leading role" in cartoon art, Cartoon image is not only the embodiment of art, but also the barometer of fashion. Brand is the embodiment of an enterprise’s image, the application of cartoon image in brand value makes the cartoon art and culture into the brand image, it can expand the brand’s influence and affinity.Through exploring cartoon image’s position in the social life and in the brand marketing strategy’s favor, this thesis analyzes the effect and influence of the cartoon image in the brand publicity value. The author also tries to find out the application system, modeling techniques, emotional molds of the cartoon image in the brand visual. He also forecast the development of the design of cartoon art in the brand visual image.By using the literature analysis and case analysis, this paper explores the art characteristics and advantages of cartoon image’s spread from the development of cartoon art and the successful use of cartoon art in the domestic and foreign brands. The author also applies its brand publicity in the media to study the benefits of the combining of cartoon images and brands by combining image study, semiotics, communication, economics and sociology research methods. And then reveal the advantages of cartoon image in the spread of its brand. First, the strong intuition. It’s easy for the audience to understand the brand idea, and it’s also easy to form a valuable brand symbol. Second, the strong affinity. It can make the audience close to the brand, and downplay the commercial flavor at the same time. Third, the strong vitality. It can transcend the limit of product cycle. Fourth, the strong impact. It is easy to stand out in many brand symbols. Fifth, the strong memory. The distinctive modeling will always be in your mind.From that we generalize the application of cartoon image in the brand visual image approaches and methods, and then concluded that the clever application in cartoon image in the brand visual image should be combined with the static and dynamic media propagation. Only by playing their own advantages, can they shape a better brand image.
