| In this paper we analyze the subjective-object structure and the predicate-collocation structure of “NP1+YOU+NP2+VPâ€,which are two traditional Chinesesentence patterns, together with “There beâ€sentence pattern and “have/hasâ€sentencepattern in English mainly from the aspects of syntactic structures,semantics andpragmatics.On that basis we make a comparison between the two languages th roughmethods of transform analysis and contrast analysis, aiming to find out theirsimilarities as well as differences.Meanwhile, we discuss and analyze some commonlanguage acquisition errors based on our teaching practice and experience so as tohelp students use the above sentence structures correctly in their language learningand guide our future language teaching better.First we briefly introduce the achievement of our predecessors about the wordof “YOUâ€, the subjective-object struture and the predicate-collocation structure of“NP1+YOU+NP2+VP†in Chinese as well as “There beâ€sentence pattern and“have/hasâ€sentence pattern in English. Next we analyze the subjective-object strutureof “NP1+YOU+NP2+VP†in Chinese,“There beâ€sentence pattern and “have/hasâ€sentence pattern in English respectively and make a comparison between them on thatbasis. Then we discuss the predicate-collocation structure of “NP1+YOU+NP2+VPâ€in Chinese,“There beâ€sentence pattern and “have/has†sentence pattern in Englishseparately and compare them in the same way. Finally, we intend to help students usethem properly and guide our language teaching by analyzin g some common languageacquisition errors based on our teaching practice and experience. |
