The Survey Research Of Diverse Cultural Characteristics Of YUGUR Folk Dance

YUGUR is one of the three ethnic minorities in Gansu Province. Ninety percent of their population inhabits in Sunan Yugur Autonomous County, such as Kangle, Dahe, Minghua, Huangcheng district and Youai village in Mati district in Gansu Province. Others live in Suzhou District. Jiuquan City of Huangni fort YUGUR village, where its resident number is about fifteen thousands. YUGUR has a long history which can be traced back to Dingling of the3rd century BC and Uyghur of the fourth century BC. Uyghur defeated Turk and established Uighur Khanate in the middle of8th century. Uyghur was beat by Kirgiz in the middle of9th century, and one group of their people migrated to Hexi Corridor. They merged and proliferate with local Huige residents till this day, which is formed into YUGUR. During a long and colorful history, YUGUR has been developed its unique dance culture, which is a significant part and product of YUGUR historic civilization. YUGUR culture research is gradually in the sights of experts and scholars for the past few years, especially an in-depth study of aspects of YUGUR development history and its content and meaning. However, the research of its folk dance is quite limited. The object of this study is diverse cultural characteristics of YUGUR folk dance. The article is mainly from four aspects to illustrate. First, the author will present the background and importance of the study, domestic related research document and the elaborate of research method. Second, from historical background, formation of nationality, folk culture, to religion and culture of YUGUR, the article will show a comprehensive analysis of cultural characteristics of YUGUR, which displays its diversity of cultural characteristics. Third, there is a detailed analysis about the regionally influencing factors of multinational environment of YUGUR folk dance, influencing factors of custom civilization and religious culture, and other diverse cultural characteristics, which can present the characteristics of YUGUR folk dance through an understanding of its connotation. Fourth, the author will state a conclusion of the research and creative opinions about the developmental trend and directions of YUGUR folk dance for its further progress and conservation.
