Taixu rabbi is the ancestor of modern Chinese Buddhism, theadvocate and practitioner of the New Buddhism Movement, and also aBuddhism theorist with broad knowledges and deep thoughts. As areligious reformer and practitioner, aiming to recover the Buddhism, andfacing to the reality and problems that inside of the Buddhism, Taixuadvocated to go ahead with the Three Revolution——the BuddhismTheory Revolution, the Discipline Revolution and the PropertyRevolution——which making a significant contribution to the reformof the Buddhism. And as a Buddhism theorist, Taixu could digest theBuddhist studies and the other subjects, the ancient subjects and the newsubjects, the Vijbana-vada Madhyamika and the Dhammata Hossoshu. On the basic theory of the Buddhism, he put forward many original andimportant theories, one of the most famous is the Theory of HumanisticBuddhism, which is the concrete manifestation of Taixu’s BuddhismTheory Revolution, and also the soul idea of his Three Revolution.Taixu’s argumentationstheorie which aimed at proving and revealing thatthe Buddhism is the religion which faces to the reality is particularlyreflected in the book ‘True Reality Theory’, and which is regarded as thetheory foundation of the Humanistic Buddhism. For the meaning of the concept of "reality", Taixu firstly expounded its four meanings:First, reality is the university.Second, reality is the Buddhist dharmadhatu.Third, reality is the reality.Fourth, Realism is the Buddhist Realism without any doctrines. The ‘True Reality Theory’ is made of three parts:the first part is toprovide the basis for the ‘true reality’according to find the ways to knowthe reality; the second part is to prove the existence of the ‘reality’; thethird part is to resolve the problems in the reality. The second part is themost important partition and key link, and its core is the conception of thereality. Taixu explained the conception of the reality as four meanings:the present things, the present nature of he present things, the knowledgesof the present nature of reality and the change or stabilization of theknowledges of the present nature of reality. And this four realities wereinterconnected as a whole wheel. And at last, Taixu established the placeof the reality as the only DHARANA. And Taixu accomplished thediscuss of the true reality.
