Liaodong is a very important location in Ming Dynasty. Literature describingLiaodong of Ming Dynasty has a bigger development than previous literature describingLiaodong. From the perspective of works produced in the Ming Dynasty, the emperors,local officials, transfer passengers, diplomatic envoys, and local Jolly all have literaturedescribing Liaodong passed down to the world. We put these two aspects of the literary work as a whole, that is, the thesisresearch subject: literature describing Liaodong of Ming Dynasty.By multidimensional survey and analysis, we can see literature describing Liaodong ofMing Dynasty has a high ideological and artistic value. They are both literature and alsoprecious and vivid historical material to some extent. This thesis selects literaturedescribing Liaodong of Ming Dynasty as a research topic. On the one hand, it intends toexplore the meaning and features of its literature by discussing the Liaodong literaturewhich has been discriminated and fallen into oblivion historically; on the other hand, theauthor hopes through this research to have a deeper understanding of the evolution andcharacteristics of the whole Ming Dynasty literature, so as to have benefits to more fullyunderstand the Ming Dynasty literature. The main contents of the four parts of this thesisare as follows.The first part is about ideological content features of the literature describing Liaodongof Ming Dynasty. By analyzing the rich themes and cultural implication contained in theliterature, and surveying the subjects, styles and values of the description, the authorsummarizes ideological content features of the literature describing Liaodong of MingDynasty: wonderful scenery, prominent social style, unique living environment, historicalLiaodong war, and women’s lovesickness, beautiful myths and legends. These features aredescribed and illustrated one by one.The second part describes the artistic features of Liaodong literature. By surveying theartistic formation and expression of Liaodong literature and aesthetic tendencies and unique meaning, the author concludes the imagination on conception in the arts, the naturaldescription in the writing, retrieving images from the contrast remembrance, and allusionsuse on writing style. Then the author analyzes them in detail.The third part seeks the causes of Liaodong literature. The author puts the Liaodongliterature into the longitudinal history and transverse typical social background, and uniqueliterary trends of the times, to find out the relationships among the literary system orliterary form and their literary historical traditions, political situation changes, foreignliterature adding, and the social impact of literary trends at that time.The fourth part studies the cultural transmission value of the Liaodong literary of theMing Dynasty. Through the overall grasp of Liaodong literature, the author reveals theunique, multifaceted cultural transmission value and significance of Liaodong literature inthe Ming Dynasty even in later. Meanwhile, the author points out that the literature sectorhas the following values: propagandizing the scenery of Liaodong, showing the peoples’style beyond the Great Wall, reporting the Liaodong wars then, constructing a new regionalliterature, and strengthening the integration of the literary era.
