With the continuous development of China, more and more people in the world are interested in Chinese culture. As a carrier of cultural communication, Confucius institute has appeared in cities of global countries and conducted language courses to promote the history and culture of this nation. Therefore, improving language teaching skills is an important way to expand cultural influence and to increase the cultural propagation force. Invariably, grammar teaching is an essential as well as a difficult part in the process of language teaching. Different from the Indo-European languages, Chinese grammar form relies mainly on internal flexion. The relationship between parts of speech and syntactic constituent is much more complex. Consequently, certain skills are required for non-native students when they learn Chinese grammar. And as for TCSOL teachers, mastering and applying effective grammar teaching methods is also a challenge. Since1980s, the educators have done many researches in grammar teaching theories and methods and have improved the teaching quality by exploring, perfecting the teaching contents and methods respectively. In this paper, with the teaching background of Confucius Institute of Newcastle University in Australia, I select a text from New Practical Chinese Textbook as the main body, combined with grammar dilution concept and dynamic teaching model in the course design. All these would contribute to illustrating the features and skills of teaching Chinese to English speakers in a non-Chinese environment through the specific teaching case.
