The Landscape School of Southern China oil painting represented by Zhangdongfeng, Chenhexi and Wangrui, is a new style emerging in the South with the integration of Chinese and Western Arts. Produced in the bourgeois of Chinese painting, It has great academic values and enriches our culture. The landscape painting artists groups in the south, shaped by the unique geographic characteristics, pursue the "oil painting nationalization "by arguing that we should draw from the highlights of Chinese traditional landscape painting. Their works share the common artistic style such as the techniques like the freehand brushwork and romantic expression. Furthermore, the conception, colors and subject are all branded with the distinctive southern features in both nature and culture.
