On Image Creation Of Leo Nora And Singing Research In Verdi Opera "the Force Of Destiny"

Opera, as a comprehensive art pattern, contains many kinds of art elements. Among them, aria, as an important form of expression in the opera, focuses on the image of the characters, the conflicts and emotion. Composer’s creative style can also be roughly glimpsed from here. Therefore, grasping the artistic features of the composer’s aria is undoubtedly of great significance for performers to successfully perform the aria.The thesis consists of four chapters, giving a detailed analysis on image creation of Leo Nora and singing research from three levels, four characters, and three aspects. Three levels are, namely, composer, character shaping, and singing research; Four characters are Tyne Price, Angela George Wu, Sandra Eva Rudd’s base, and Xiuwei Sun; Three aspects are comparative studies of the opening sentence, climax and greetings. The four chapters’layout is as follows:the first chapter is about Verdi’s life story and his opera "the force of destiny"; The second chapter is about Leo Nora’s image and its creation; The third chapter studies Leo Nora’s singing skills, taking the aria "peace, peace" as an example. The fourth chapter compares different singing versions of Leo Nora’s aria "peace, peace". This thesis mainly studies the image creation of Leo Nora and singing research in Verdi opera "The Force of Destiny", taking the aria "peace, peace" as the primary research object. Through a lot of investigation and study, it has been excavated deeply from multiple perspectives and levels. Four singing versions of representative sopranos of different periods have been chosen. By comparing their singing versions, this thesis concretely analyses the artistic and musical features of this aria, and detailedly elaborates the emphases and difficulties that should be paid attention to. The aim of this thesis is to dig out the characteristics of the image creation of the heroine in Verdi opera "the force of destiny" and the heroine’s singing features in the aria "peace, peace", compensating the shortage of the domestic research on Verdi and his opera "the force of destiny". In the meantime, the voice processing skills of the aria "peace, peace" are applied to vocal music study and singing, to improve the singing level of the actress of the aria "peace, peace" in Verdi opera. It is very necessary and beneficial to understand the singing style of different singers of the aria "peace, peace", whether for the cultivation of the author’s own music accomplishment and his voice emotion using, or for vocal music education in the future.
