This paper consists of3parts: the foreword, the main body and the peroration.In the foreword, it expounds the meaning of this selected topic, the research statusand the ideas of writing.In the main body, there are5chapters. In the first chapter, it talks about theconception and patterns of the divination in the Jin Dynasty. In the second chapter, itexpounds the occasions of the divination in two aspects: the public occasion and theprivate occasion. In the third chapter, it talks about the staffing of the soothsayers inthe Jin Dynasty. In the country’s central and location, there are different soothsayersworking for the country. The fourth chapter is the analysis of the soothsayers. In thelast chapter, it expounds the relations between the divination and the society of theJin Dynasty.The peroration is the last part of this paper, it summarizes the whole paper.
