The year2010witnessed a remarkable agreement, ECFA, between mainland China and Taiwan. News reports on this event poured into the public’s daily life. As a vital policy between two shores, foreign news agencies have large coverage of its development and comment on its implementation from a far-reaching perspective. Why does the domestic political event arouse such wide-reaching concern? The reason may be summarized as historical, cultural and political problems between mainland China and Taiwan and even between communism and capitalism. Thus any issues concerning mainland China and Taiwan will cause great concerns. It can no be denied that the development between two shores has become the criterion to value which social system is superior to the other, the capitalism or the communism. This article chooses ten reports from the foreign media and Chinese media respectively. After a thorough analysis of these data, the author found that there existed considerable disparity between the foreign media and its Chinese counterpart. Disguised by the slogan that news never creates facts but should reflect facts impartially, these twenty news reports all represent their respective political stance. This inspires the author to reveal their true intention from the CDA perspective, explore how language interact with social reality and most importantly how language servers ideology.
