Animation is a film art of visual and auditory, and performance is the core ofanimation. The role of characteristics is artistically processed by the creators based ontheir full understanding of the animation plays and theme style. It is from real life that theanimation is refined. To create this itself is a kind of beauty.In this paper, the importance of animation, how to create good contrast andcomparison of different styles of animation performances were used as the starting pointto study the animation performances. And the theory cite examples of methods and videowere studied. Citing of theoretical methods and video animation performances exampleswere used during the research. Unlike live-action, animated show requires more livelyperformance which has a sense of drama. While the former requires a performance ofmoderate exaggeration and distortion. A comprehensive understanding of the role besidesa good design and wonderful story is necessary to give vitality to an animated character."Laugh Stone" is an original work of traditional2D hand-drawn animation.It tells thestory of a small stone with so unattractive appearance that being recognized. It wasdiscovered by "Bole" occasionally after countless encounters. It was found that it was notan ordinary stone, but a fine gold ore until being cut open. External beauty is noteverything, and only inner beauty is the real beauty. Putting aside superficial phenomenonto look in the substance is the essence of life. This subject adopted typical orientalperformance style, which shows a beauty of subtle oriental performances and tactfulunique. Traditional purely artistic art style was used to produce the animation. And thecharacters were drawn on the paper and scanned to PC before post-synthesis.
