Nowadays, Abundant material products and high commercialization level means that the consumption become the leading factor of our society. People’s consumption behavior is no longer as simple as a kind of economic activity, but a kind of social culture. Body became the public spotlight because of the close relationship with the consumer and carrying rich cultural information. Body consumption has become the trend of the academic research in recent years. Especially following with the popularity of face shaping, losing weight, worship of the luxury and blindly following idol star and network reds in consumer society, people worship of the luxury and blindly follow idol star, network reds, people consuming their body reach to an extreme level. In the process of body consumption, of course, body is not only the main body, but also the object. In the era of reading picture, using the body to attract eyeball seems to have become a well-deserved things. People are crazy for TV stars, AD stars and network reds in popularity and at the same time their bodies are actually consumed by their fans.This article is focus on the two aspects of the body consumption in consumer Society. Through analyzing the history and the essence of body consumption and the case of the network reds, I studied the producing background of body consumption. Producing social transformed to a consumer society. Symbol consumption is popular and popular. Popular Culture guides people. China now has a lot of strange phenomenon of body consumption, such as face shaping, losing weight, worship of the luxury and using the body to attract eyeball. After women, men are also viewed. This article also raised a question of the body aesthetic issues under the new situation. Body consumption has become a symbolic consumption and is being controlled by the popular culture.
