Unique Self

This article sets about analyzing Chuan meizi image of Li jieren, Hong ying and Lu ling who come from different times and regions.Through longitudinal comparison to find out the similarity of Chuan meizi image and summarizes their essence of connotation which are bold revolt, perseverance, unyielding and independent self. This similarity is not a coincidence, but it’s the results that three writers choose under strong Bashu culture identity. So, it is also a truthful reflect about regional culture of Bashu. The unique geographical location, the influence of Taoist culture, the lack of the patriarchal and "a girl will be taken" customs make Bashu women taken fewer feudal oppression, and obtained higher social status. All of that takes an opportunity for Chuan meizi to rebel, develop a perseverance character and sense of self. So compared with the other parts of the women in our country, the women of Sichuan have the natural rebellion and a strong sense of self, which make literature image of Chuan meizi to shine the brilliance of the "new women" and show the shadow of feminists. But the literature image of Chuan meizi is different from the literature images of the "new women" and feminists. Their rebellion, tenacity and self consciousness are only a kind of instinct reaction under the influence of the regional culture of Bashu. They have not clear purpose, and also is not a kind of conscious pursuit. To a certain extent, that affects the height meaning of Chuan meizi t image, but it can’t hide the uniqueness and richness of connotation of Chuan meizi image. To some extent, they became the pioneer of China’s women’s awakening and practitioners of feminist thoughts. In brief, under the regional culture of Bashu, Chuan meizi become the indispensable and hard to replace one in history of Chinese literature with unique humanistic character indispensable and irreplaceable character. With maverick attitude, they get a place in our literary history and set an example for other parts of female liberation in our country by their own way.The thesis is divided into six parts. The introduction part, discusses the essence of this article, summarizes the relevant research results, points out the deficiency of the research status and on this basis to highlight the significance of this article. In the first chapter, I will respectively discuss the images of three authors and summarize the common humanities characters which are rebel, tenacity and independent self. The second chapters, introduce the life, creative attitude, technique of three writers and analyze the authors’ cultural identity, and then explain the inseparable relationship between the humanities character of Chuan meizi with the Bashu local culture. The third chapter, I will expound the relationship between the causes of Chuan meizi character with the regional culture of Bashu from the unique geographical environment, the influence of Taoist culture, and caused the patriarchal family system structure, the traditional folk customs of "a girl will be taken" and so on. The fourth chapter, through comparison of image of chuan meizi and the "new woman" to summarizes the similarities and differences between them, and then explains that the image of chuan meizi is unique and their connotation is richness. Epilogue part, to summarize the full text, and to put forward two questions that rethink the relationship between the women’s liberation movement with the May4th movement and source of Hong ying’s Feminist ideology.
