Modern Ceramics is a reflection of Western modernist art in the field of ceramics,artists express their personal feelings of heavy, heavy mud characteristics of languagearts, and impressionism, cubism, abstract art, etc. before and after the echo, which ismainly affected by Abstract Expressionism impact of western pottery industry in generalby the potters of the1954Peter Vaux led "Otis Pottery revolution" as the beginning ofmodern ceramics, pottery after the rise of the modern United States, continues to develop,swept the globe. Modern Chinese pottery began in the late1970s and early1980s, wasaccompanied by the country’s reform and opening up and passed by the West opened inthe development of the past30years or so, China has gradually formed its own modernceramic art features. From the entire history of art development, the country did not gothrough this stage of modernist art, and directly into the West’s "post-modern" period, sothe theoretical background of the rise of Chinese modern pottery when rich, by themodern Western art and postmodern Art hybridity combined effects of various thoughtstogether.Analysis of the various periods of development of Chinese modern art, modernpottery1980s China was mainly a kind of imitation and "catch up", after1989, subjectto various complex social and cultural factors, Chinese modern pottery of westernmodern art was gradually find its own national language, and the formation of a culturalconsciousness, diversified development. As a branch of Chinese modern ceramicsmodern art, new art from the beginning to foreign breeds imitation, and later think aboutadmission ethnic cultural values, strive to seek their own national language, create theirown artistic characteristics, China ’s modern potters in addition to outside of their ownsubconscious national Complex and aesthetic pursuit, is also inseparable from the Westlearn some modern art forms. In this transformation process, I found that some of theconcepts of post-modern art, this fits the Chinese artists to find their own nationallanguage psychology. This paper aims to study in just30years or so, postmodern art,pottery found in China ’s own national culture of modern languages, to influence thedevelopment of today’s diverse landscape generated.
