Research On Resettlement Community Governance

The community of resettlement and relocation is a brand new concept which appears after the popularity of establishing development zones20years ago. The research on this has just begun. Scholars are now concerned about various aspects on cultural construction, education, CCP organization construction and transformation of the community, etc. The key point is how to make urbanization and community fusion faster, but the whole research of the community governance is not deep enough.SIP is an important co-op project between Chinese and Singaporean governments and it is now a world wide competitive hi-tech zone, even a new city with the development only for18years. By so far, the resettlement and relocation has been almost finished and there are more and more communities of resettlement. The management of these communities becomes more and more important and the administration organization (including Shengpu, Loufeng and Wetiting township governments) is more and more focused on it, thinking of new methods of the management. There are more and more positive experiences accumulated and more and more negative problems discovered.This thesis, taking the Shengpu town as an example, and through the study on the governance of the communities, summarizes not only the positive experiences accumulated but also the negative problems found during the process of resettlement and relocation. It is quite useful for making better propositions, suggestions and guidance to the future good governance.
