Research On China’s Government Management On The Public Opinion Online

With the popularity of the Internet and the continuous improvement of the awareness ofthe public political participation, the network has influenced our political, economic, socialand cultural life, the public opinion reflected in the network has got more and more attentionof the government. The attitude of the government, the way to respond, and the effect ofmanagement in response to public opinion online, is not only related to the vital interests ofpeople of the community, but also related to the establishment of the image of thegovernment as well as the achievement of its management functions.At present, our government has realized the importance of effective management on thepublic opinion online, and has begun to try to actively and effectively respond and guide. Butbecause of the particularity of the network environment, the government’s attitude and abilityon the public opinion online is not very mature. It’s worthy of our attention and in-depthexploration that what are the characteristics of the government management on the publicopinion online, how is the status of government management on the public opinion onlinenow, what role should government play and how to play in it. Many scholars have alreadycarried out researches on that.This article start with the public opinion online, analyzed the definition and importanceof the government management on the public opinion online. And base on that, it point outthe necessary and boundary of the government management on the public opinion online.Meanwhile, according to the social reality, point out our government is not well played on themonitor and judge, guide and construction of the law system. At last, combined the publicadministration theory and some successful experiences borrowed from home and abroad,suggestions and countermeasures are given to help the government to achieve the goal ofpublic opinion online’s management effectively.
