The moral education work is not only the political advantage and excellenttradition formed by our party in the long-term practice, but also the central link tocultivate qualified builders and successors for the cause of Chinese characteristicsocialism. Our Party, in the17th National People’s Congress, put forward the scientificproposition—"the theoretical system of Chinese characteristic socialism", which coversvarious areas of scientific theory fruits, including China’s political, economic, culturaland social construction, etc. The moral education thought of Chinese characteristicsocialism is an important part of the theoretical system for Chinese characteristicsocialism, the research of which is not only in line with the Part’ys17th NationalPeople’s Congress, but also in accordance with the developing needs for the practicalwork of moral education. First, our Party have always attached great importance tomoral education since October,1999when the CPC Central Committee issued “Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improving of the Ideological and Political Work“(hereinafter referred to as "Opinions")."Opinions", on the basis of Deng XiaopingTheory and the spirit of the Part’ys Fifteenth National People’s Congress, summarizedthe Part’ys ideological and political working experience since the plenary session of theThirteen Central Committee in China and emphasizes the importance of the ideologicaland political work in the Reform and Opening and socialist construction. Second,Comrade Hu Jintao, in the report of the Part’ys Seventeenth National Congress, alsopointed out clearly, the ideological and political education should be improved more,especially to the teenagers. Last, the project is one of th’e opening papers of my mentorsNational Social Science Fund Project "The Research on Contemporary Chinese Marxistthoughts of moral education “(project number:12BKS072).Currently, with the development of the era and the progress of society, a series ofprofound changes occur for the economic globalization and the process of the Reformand Opening, which not only affect people’s ideology of the whole country fromdifferent aspects, but also put forward higher requirements to cultivate excellent talentsfor Chinese characteristic socialism, thus the moral education work facing a hugechallenge. Through the research on the project, there must be a positive effect to graspscientific and guiding character of the system of moral education for Chinese characteristics socialism from the integral aspect, to improve the correct knowledge andfull understanding of Chinese characteristic socialism thought of moral education forpeople of the whole country, and to create a new situation of moral education work.Chinese characteristic socialism thought of moral education is a scientific andguiding theory, formed when Comrades Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintaoexplore and answer the new situation, new problems, new contradiction and a series ofbasic questions faced by moral education in the new conditions, according to theinternational and domestic environment, the content of which is not only the Part’ysscientific summary and promotion of the new experience of moral education, but alsothe Part’ys new theoretical summary of moral education, being the guiding ideology andscientific guidance of our Part’ys moral education in the future. The thesis takes thetheoretical context of the Chinese characteristic sociali’sms theoretical systemdevelopment as the breakthrough point for research, the integrity of the moral educationthought for Chinese characteristic socialism as the key of research, and reveals itstheoretical value, guiding position and practical direction for the cultivation of qualifiedbuilders and successors to the cause of Chinese characteristic socialism, based on thenew historical conditions, by centering on the main line "cultivate what kind of man andhow to cultivate them".The thesi’ss content and structure are as follows. Firstly, it discusses that thetheoretical source and practical basis of the moral education thought for Chinesecharacteristic socialism are the moral education thought of Marx, Engels and ComradeMao Zedong and the great practice from the Reform and Opening. Secondly, on thebasis of the above, it summarizes theoretical qualities of the moral education thought forChinese characteristic socialism in the new period. Thirdly, through systematicalexpound of these qualities, it explores the strategic core and the strategic policy of the’moral education work for China characteristic socialism, and then analyzes the Partysfundamental task and the main line of education work in the new peirod, and putsforward the main principles and thinking method of constant innovation of educationwork in the new environment, and improves actively the organization, the leadershipand the management system of education work. The thesis expounds the basic theoriesof the moral education thought for Chinese characteristic socialism from their integrityand the view of "Big Moral Education Tho"ught. The innovation of the thesis is on theintegral research of Comrades Deng Xiaoping, Ji,ang Zemin, Hu Jintaos thought of moral education, thus to reveal the scientific, guiding and developing character of theideological system. The Part’ys moral education theory is very irch, so it is our futurein-depth task to strengthen continually the research on the Part’ys moral educationtheory, and how to exert its guiding roles more effectively in practice.
