| September201792, the Legislative Assembly decreed the first secular law of divorce in French history,which was influenced deeply by the Enlightment of18th century, which was also promoted greatly promoted by popular pamphlets. The law of divorce1792was an important part of French Secularization process. The law created possibilities for divorce. After the law decreed, a divorce trend appeared in French society,which had two major characteristics:the divorce rate of urban was much higher than countrisides; the numbers of female divorce far more than that of male.
