Society was having a dramatic change and transition in the Spring and Autumn and theWarring States Periods. The problem of human nature were received with concern fromvarious schools of China. They had the problem of human nature as the logical starting pointof their theory,and the theory of human nature mushroomed.On the confucianist school,Confucius put forward the point of view of“By nature, menare nearly alike; by practice,they get to be wide apart”,in which the essence of “nature”washuman-heartedness and “practice”refered to the practice of “learning” and influence ofenvironment. From the priori point of view,Mencius think that human had “the four constantvirtues”,and they were the roots of human-heartedness, righteousness, rituals and wisdom.Ideal personality should was cultivated with “a few desires”,“cultivating the Great Morale”and “Advocating ambition”. From the perspective of experience,Xunzi affirmed that humannature was a kind of instinct and no distinction between good and evil. Evil was the result ofconniving at desires, and need to correct it with rituals,righteousness,teacher,laws andregulations.They regarded people’s desire as the starting point of the research,and regardedachieving the ideal personality and realizing their political ambitions of governing the countrywith morality as ultimate goal. There was internal logical consistency between the three.The Pre-Qin Dynasty Confucianist’s moral education theory is based on the humannature and realized the unification of the theory of human nature,morality theory and thetheory of politics. It is clear to us in theory that ideological and moral education is related tonational governance,and its starting point is the concern about human beings. Meanwhile,ideological and moral education should not only give full play to the role of human,but alsoestablish and strengthen the relevant system,which was used to ensure the effectiveness ofmoral education,and to improve the moral realm in the combination of self-discipline andheteronomy.The Pre-Qin Dynasty Confucianist’s ideological and moral education theory based on thehuman nature not only had the interpretation and construction of the theory,but also put forward many effective methods of ideological and moral education. It gives us enlightenmentthe fact that ideological and moral education should attach importance to the education ofideal and belief,to the combination of learning knowledge and practice. At the same time,thenoble moral sentiment should was used to guide people to pay attention to spiritual pursuit.Furthermore,ideological and moral education should attach importance to the influence ofenvironment and the cultivation of willpower.
