| There are four fundamental interactions in nature. There are electromagneticinteraction, gravitational interaction, strong interaction, and weak interaction. Theelectromagnetic force and gravitation are long-range force. It means that both ofthem play obvious role in the macroscopic world. With the exploration and researchof the electromagnetic interaction, people found that we can use theelectromagnetic waves as a medium to transmit information across long distances. The electromagnetic waves can propagate across the vacuum. Therefore, electromagnetic wave is the only one coded communication carrier that can crossvacuum. If gravitation could be used for another coded communication carrier totransmit information, people find a second carrier that can transmit informationacross the vacuum. It must have a great significance in the basis of theoretical andpractical application. The theory of gravitation are Newton’s theory of gravitation and generaltheory of relativity. The latter is more accurate. General relativity studies the gravityfrom the perspective of geometry. It describes the gravity as the bending of thespace-time. This is a landmark. Thus the relativity becomes one of the twocornerstones of modern physics. General relativity predicts the existence ofgravitational waves. In1993, the winners of Nobel Prize in Physics Russell A. Hulseand Joseph H. Haylor, through a long-term continuous observation of a new pulsarsand study, prove the existence of the gravitational waves indirectly. However, gravitational waves has not yet been directly detected. The gravitational field is ableto transmit information. This paper presents a design for coding communication system using thealternating gravitational field, which is based on the Cavendish experiment. Theprinciple is that using the mass M moving periodically as information source, theCavendish torsion balance as information sink, the periodic motion of theinformation source will generate the alternating gravitational field that can make thesmall ball of information sink move with the same frequency. At information source, using frequency modulation method, code0,1will be modulated to differentfrequencies, and at the information sink, the signals will be measured by the PVsystem. It can achieve the communication between the two points by using thismethod. This experiment is achievable. Compared with the spatial distortion effectgenerated by gravitational waves, the motion effects generated by torsion balanceunder alternating gravitational field which can be observed is much larger. This papergives the specific method of this experiment, theoretical calculation of the variouskinds of data, the PC programming of the acquisition system, and so on.This paper also gives a feasible measurement of the propagation velocity ofthe gravitational. The principle of this experiment is the use of the principle of theCavendish experiment. Let the ton oil tanker as the information source do thereciprocating movement, the time of arrival for the gravity of information sourceinteracting the two Cavendish torsion balance is different. The phase differencebetween two Cavendish torsion balance movement can be measured by the laserinterferometry. Then the time difference can be calculated. The distance betweentwo Cavendish torsion balance is known. Finally, we can calculate the propagationvelocity of the gravitational field.Compared with the electromagnetic field, the gravitational field is very weak. But the objects in nature generally render electrically neutral. Therefore, the gravitydominates between objects especially between the stars and planets that aremassive. According to the research of the law of the gravitational field, we canunderstand the law of the movement between the celestial bodies. Gravitationalfield can not be shielded and its attenuation is small. Therefore, we can detect thegravitational waves from the great stars to get many information. The experimentsproposed in this paper are just prove that the gravitational field can transmitinformation and it also has some of the theoretical and practical significance. |
