The current research of global discrete grid mainly focuses on the construction of thediscrete grid, deformation characteristics, coding, and data integration. One of the most famouscases is the Google Earth, which is based on grid of orthogonal decomposition. But there isrelatively few research on geological analysis of global scale by using of global discrete gridfeatures. This article firstly study and analysis spherical diamond-shaped grid system, then tosolve large-scale numerical simulation of East tide wave system using it,which includesconversion relation between rhombus discrete grid network encoding and geographic coordinates,consistency of spherical mesh topology and so on.Using spherical diamond-shaped grid to analysis and solve the problem of large-scalegeoscience has the following advantages:(1) Integrate multi-source and heterogeneous data Asdata used in the tidal wave are diverse, such as raster data (bathymetric data), vector data (basedsite data, boundary line data),Need to integrated various types of data in a unified space frame,while the spherical diamond grid provides a solution for this problem.(2) Provides a new way forthe3-dimensional expression and Modeling of raster and vector data in Euclidean space methods.The main research contents of this paper:1. Diamond grid system: Study the construction scheme of rhombus discrete grid, and analysethe deformation characteristics of the rhombus discrete grid, design code in the final.2. The integration scheme of diamond grid data: Rhombus discrete grid for the integratedmethod of geospatial data, including the vector data and raster data (point, line, surface)integration method.3. Data from China tide wave system integration: integrated the related data of China tidewave system in rhombus discrete grid. Use the integration scheme of diamond grid data,Integrated the multi-source data of China tide wave system to rhombus discrete grid,validate the correctness of the encoding scheme and the solution of data integration.Research findings:1. The Inscribed regular eight surface body as grid foundation, designed a subdivisionscheme of rhombus discrete grid, and validate the feasibility of the subdivision schemethrough the analysis of deformation characteristics.2. According to the grid code ideal standard, designed a rhombus discrete grid code, andderived the conversion relations between coding and geographic coordinates.3. Designed the integration scheme of geospatial data in the rhombus discrete grid, Integratedrelated data of China tide wave system.Then, fully verify the diamond grid system can beused as a unified spatial data framework.
