3D geometry optimization needs a series work, including determining the geometric shape, and selecting system parameters, such as the cover number bin size、group interval、the maximum and the minimum off-inline distance、the maximum and the minimum offset, etc. In the past, people usually use different evaluation function to discuss the relationship between one target optimization with one of all parameters of geometry as a independent parameter. However, the parameters are not independent of each other, they influence each other and restrict each other. So when optimizing the3D seismic survey, the parameters should not be discussed separately, and we need to combine all the parameters to be discussed at the same time, this should be the only way to get the true sense of "optima" geometry parameters.In this paper, firstly under the ideal condition based on common-middle-point, we have discussed the feasibility of geometry design with global optimization algorithm. According to different geologic targets, different optimization evaluation function has been established respectively. After that, Under the condition of fixing part of the parameters, we have discussed the influence to the bin attributes uniformity by choosing different RLD and SLD. Finally, the method of geometry design based on global optimization is proposed.At the area with complex geological structure and rolling surface, the common-middle-point and the common-reflection-point is not the same point, so the ideas of traditional seismic survey design are no longer serviceable. In this paper, through establishing the practical geological model and using the gaussian ray beam method to simulate the propagation path of the seismic wave, a new criteria of geometry design based on common-reflection-point has been proposed. According to different geologic targets, different optimization evaluation function has been established respectively. Finally, the method of geometry design based on global optimization is proposed, through the actual operation, we have proved that the he method of geometry design based on global optimization is feasible. And this could provide a new method for actual production.
