Carbonate Reef Gas Analysis Features And The Pearl River Mouth Basin Deep Water

There is good oil and gas shows in shallow waters of Pearl River Mouth Basin right now, and had found biohermal reservoirs both in Dongsha uplift and Shenhu uplift, but deep water area is a very promising area for its low degree prospecting research status. To find and idendify the reefs in deep water area has important significance for the exploration of oil and gas, and in addition, the research of volcanic dome and contourite erosion-depositon mound also use to compare and differentiate with reefs, to provide the reference for oil and gas exploration. The paper through literature research, well-seismic calibration, structure interpretation and seismic attribute analysis to rebuild the area of ancient sedimentary environment and prove the southern uplift of deep water area can grow reefs, combine with profile characteristics and seismic inversion to identify the suspected reefs, then analysis the reservoir forming conditions from the source rock, reservoir, entrapment, trap, migration and preservation, initial use the divider means to detect the containing gas of suspected reefs at last.By relying on the progress of the project, the several research and understanding of paper see at the follow:(1) By analysis the paleostructure and paleoenvironment of deep water area in Zhujiangkou Basin, we consider the southern uplift in early Miocene was littoral neritic facies and far away from the source supply of Paleo-Pearl River and Paleo-Han River, is a potential areas for reefs to growth;(2) We found a suspected reefs in the southern uplift, the profile characteristic and wave impedance values of the suspected reefs is accordance with the reefs, but due to the thin line and less well data, we define it as the platform edge reef;(3) According to the cutting relationship between volcano and layer, the volcano activity is divided into Paleogene, Miocene and Pliocene-Quaternaty. The dome volcano in profile is quite different with reefs, but people still look BY7-1tuff volcano as reefs.(4) Preliminary used the means of dividing to test the reefs in southern uplift may contain gas.
