This paper aims at the Chang8formation in MaLing oilfield, petrographic model of Chang8formation is firstly built and then reservoir property parameter model is made under the control of the former petrographic model. As a whole, models slickly characterize the distributions of sand body and properties (porosity, permeability, etc), and satisfy the requirement of fine reservoir characterization. To meet the horizontal well arrangement, we point out the favorable zone for horizontial well according to the reservoir model. Some main understandings of this paper are as follows:1. The porosity has a well correspondence with density logging curves, so porosity calculation model is computed by density values at Chang8formation; In M30well area, the density logs is not exist, but we find there is a good corresponding relation between porosity and acoustic logging curves, we build the porosity calculation model by it. For the difficult acquisition of permeability, we built the permeability calculation model for Chang81and Chang82respectively.2. Compare the models of Chang821built by use different modeling methods, we find that the3-D geological model built under the control of petrographic model is suit this area.3. The3-D geological model is built under the control of petrographic model at study area; the more elaborate model is built based on same method at M30area. All models reasonably described the distributions of the sand body and properties (porosity, permeability, etc).These models can supply reliable geological foundation for the further exploratory development and numerical simulation.4. Through comprehensive research of study area,we deem the favorable zone of horizontal well is exist at the following area:H23-H305-H317-B32well area, L40-L165-L167well area, H56-L208well area at Chang812section; M30-L219well area, L159well area at Chang813section; L191well area, L215-L186-H32well area, H84well area at Chang821section.
