Several existing techniques of preparing zirconium at home and abroad in this paper are introducedsimply, and choose one of the most used methods that is metal calcium deoxidate method to preparezirconium powder, for this method, some influencing factors in the actual production are researchedtheoretically.As a kind of material with a relatively abundant content and outstanding performance, Zirconiumpossesses a high melting point, resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, and grain refinement effect inthe alloy, etc, so the quantity demanded and usage in the national applications, aerospace, nuclearindustry and metal metallurgy are increasing year by year, so the research of preparative technologiesand properties for zirconium powder have increasingly. The existing zirconium preparative methodsare more complex, high cost and serious environmental pollution compared with general operations, soaffect the preparation and application in the actual of zirconium. Based on the existing processes ofpreparing zirconium, we select metal calcium deoxidate method and research the several maininfluencing factors which can affect produit results in preparing zirconium in this experiment, andimprove the technology of metal calcium deoxidate zirconium dioxide, through improving the reactiveconditions and the test process to find the best preparative conditions, futhermore, high purityzirconium powder with low cost is prepared by metal calcium deoxidate method. Because the stabilityof zirconium is very strong, and not dissolve in acid and alkali, part of the active zirconium dissolve insulfuric acid and nitric acid, so the existing detecting methods of detecting zirconium content inzirconium powder are basically detect impure content in zirconium by indirecting methods, thendeduce zirconium content. Based on the existing detective methods in this paper, the problems exist insolution of zirconium powder through many tests are analyzed, and the experimental results arecompared, summarized, then attempt to use plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP) to detectzirconium content in zirconium powder through direct detective method.This thesis mainly divided into three parts:The first part is review, mainly is the simple introduction and application of zirconium powderproperties and several kinds of general methods and analyses of the preparation of zirconium powder,and the significance and goal of this experimental technology.The second part is the influence of technical conditions on the preparation of zirconium powder.Choosing a suitable preparative method, by changing the voltage of technical conditions, charge ratios,etc, and according to the reactive phenomena, the experimental results, the productive yield and produitcontent, analysing the influence of process parameters on preparative process of zirconium powder,finally, the optimum process conditions of preparative process of zirconium powder are obtained. The existing detective method of zirconium powder content is generally detect the impure content by theindirect method, however, this method is more time-consuming and more laborious in industrialproduction. A direct detective method of zirconium powder content is obtained by ICP through severalattempts.The third part is summarize the full text, making a summary and outlook for the preparation ofzirconium powder in industry.
