Research Spiral Weld Pipe Coating Project Quality Management

Spiral welded seam steel pipe with big diameter and long length will cause several disadvantages to coating, such as transporting, storing, rolling-over. Except that, terrible working conditions, the application of high quality paint and high quality requirements of standards will also be the negative factors to prevent the anti-corrosion project from being successful. Quality management of the project of anti-corrosion of spiral welded seam steel pipe is very important, is worth studying.The study of this paper is based on the practice of anti-corrosion project of spiral welded seam steel pipe, which OD is1500mm, thickness is22mm, length is of35m to52m, paint of anti-corrosion is INTERZONE954N35, exported to Australia. The author have analyzed the quality management speciality of the carrying out project and established project quality management plan, witnessed the action of quality management of key quality points with the utilization of Process Approach. Then the author analyzed the quality measuring data, and evaluated the execution effectiveness of quality management plan, and finally provided some quality improvement measurements according to the existence of weak points.The study is derived from the practice of specific project, it follows the whole process of quality management, and focus on the details. The study is providing a beneficial exploration for the project quality management practice of huge-size steel structure’s anti-corrosion. Although the study object of this paper is special, and the project management plan also seems to focus on spiral welded steel pipe, the implementation process of quality management, quality management methods and the used of quality tools in this practices are positive.
