With the development of Chinese industrial technology, the demand for oil in our country increases year by year, a number of large tank farm was mushroomingly constructed recently. The construction of large oil tank farm makes security issues of oil storage have become increasingly important. After the tank burning, the fire spread will lead to greater human and economic losses, the study of the fire spread of the tank farm demands immediate attention. This paper, focused on the fire spread of tank farm, researches real-time fire spread in the tank farm and simulates fire development in the scene.This paper presents a model of calculating tank flame spread situation, can solve two problems. Firstly, under real-time conditions, the model can give the fire spread problem of the oil tank a accurate judgment, according to the sensors of the temperature value in sensor network; Secondly, in the simulation software, the model based on tank combustion model can calculate and emulate fire development of tank farm. The model is a network topology model, which its oiltank can be seen as a node, oiltank has obvious stage combustion characteristics, its level of combustion changes over time. The edge between tanks represents their thermal radiation relationship, can calculate the thermal radiation received through the right side of the relationship, and thus the spread of the tank situation.The Oil Tank Flame Spread Model contains of three sub-models:Tank Combustion Model, Combustion Heat Radiation Model, the Spread of Judgment and Estimation Model. Firstly, the Tank Combustion Model estimates and calculates tanks burning state, solve the thermal radiation produced by the combustion. The former is based on SVM, and the latter is based on the physics of pool fire burning formula. Secondly, the Combustion Heat Radiation Model is constructed by a physical model of radiation topology and the radiation physics model based on the Tank Combustion Model. The Spread of Judgment and Estimation Model solves the judgement of the burning tank state, estimate spread state and spread time. This Paper study and discuss model through the small size of the n-heptane combustion experiment.
