The wear properties of high manganese steel are completely outmatched against other materials under the big pressure and strong impact, especially in theaspect of chisel cutting wear and abrasive wear. Ball mill as a kind of crushing equipment, the wear damage rate of its liner is the largest. The ball mill liner is analyzed and researched as a main wear-resistant part so as to guarantee the regular operation. Through the study of the wear mechanism of the material underconditions of large impact and the mechanism of micro-alloying elementcomposite modification, high performance wear resistant materials suitable forlarge load and large impact conditions, and have good wear resistance andcorrosion resistance were studied, the comprehensive mechanical properties wasanalyzed, at the same time, a perfect and reliable preparation process wasproposed, the requirements of production practice were satisfied. Therefore, theprocess is material and energy saving, and the production efficiency andeconomic benefits will be enhanced.Through the analysis of the wear mechanism of high manganese steel andthe influence of composition on the microstructure and mechanical propertiesand wear resistance of high manganese steel, combined with numericalsimulation, and experimental verification, reasonable proportioning of wearresistant high manganese steel complex material was determined (wt%):C:1.15%,Mn:12.8,Si:0.40,Cr:1.5,Mo:0.45,S:0.02,P:0.02,Re:0.3,W:0.1.Suitableheat treatment process scheme was:80~100℃/h heated to400℃holding for1h,and then heated to700℃heat preservation for2h, then heated to1080~1100℃, holding for3h, and water quenching.Using Lost Form Casting process,through the calculation of the highmanganese steel liner plate of the ball mill, three different kinds of castingsolution were designed, the ball mill liner was numerically simulated usingcasting simulation software ProCAST, the casting filling process andsolidification process in different pouring were observed, and the characteristicsof pouring speed and solidification process under different process and its defects were analyzed. Casting of different material composition and pouringtemperature was numerically simulated with software ProCAST. Resultsshowed that the original modified manganese steel added with W and Re was offine grain size, the grain size is uniform, and the average radius is the smallestUnder a pouring temperature of1480℃,Mechanical performance testing experiment of the samples showed thatwhen joined with W and Re in high manganese steel, and the above heattreatment process was adoted, the best impact toughness was acquired, and thehardness would be the largest.
