With the rapid development of industrial production, thanks to the continuous innovation and progress of science and technology, the complexity, efficient and intelligent level of the modern machinery equipment is becoming higher and higher. Therefore, it is particularly important to ensure the safe and reliable operation of mechanical equipment. The pipeline transport is the fifth-largest modes of transport after rail transport, road transport, maritime transport and air transport. Piped is not only can be used for long-distance conveying the liquid of high concentration, but also be used in the solid-liquid transportation for high temperature and high corrosion. When traffic is inconvenient, and the substance spilled easily or leaking easily by the traditional modes of transportation, the pipeline transport reflects its exceeding advantages. In recent years, the pipeline transport industry has developed rapidly, but there is an urgent problem that how to ensure the security and stability of the pipeline transport.The diaphragm pump which is the core power output device of pipeline transport is one of the most important equipments for pipeline transport, so security issues of diaphragm pump is the key security issues of pipeline transport. The spindle is one of the key components of the diaphragm pump. In the process of running, the failure of the spindle is the most deadly. The spindle failure often leads to the production pause, causing huge economic losses, and even casualties.In this article, study and analyze the running mechanism of the diaphragm pumps and spindle, then analysis and research the vibration signal of running equipment, and finally realize the fault diagnosis of diaphragm pump spindle. Through the fault diagnosis of diaphragm pump spindle, it ensures the safety of the equipment operation, and ensures the normal operation of the industrial production. Specific works are as follows:(1)This paper uses two different methods to analyze the vibration signal of diaphragm pump spindle. First one is the fault diagnosis method based on the wavelet packet energy spectrum analysis, and second one is the fault diagnosis method HHT based on EMD. By different processing methods and analysis point of view, it analyzes the failure information of the diaphragm pump spindle, so that research and exploration of the fault diagnosis. (2) It takes wavelet theory and wavelet packet theory as the main theoretical basis. Firstly collecting vibration signal of vibration diaphragm pump spindle, decomposing it into multiple sub-bands by wavelet packet, obtaining energy and energy ratio of each band, and then comparing energy spectrum scale drawing of signal bands between the failure vibration signal and normal vibration signal to find out the failure frequency bands, finding fault frequency characteristic of diaphragm pump, finally diagnosing the failure.(3) It takes EMD theory and HHT theory as the main theoretical basis. Firstly processing signal data by empirical mode decomposition EMD, getting a limited number of intrinsic mode function IMF, and Hilbert transform for each IMF to obtain signal’s Hilbert spectrum and marginal spectrum, so realizing fault diagnosis. By studying and analysis the HHT three-dimensional map and marginal spectrum, it can accurately reflect the operation condition of the diaphragm pump spindle, directly reflect the failure characteristic frequency.This paper introduces different fault diagnosis methods for vibration fault diagnosis research, discusses the vibration fault diagnosis on diaphragm pump spindle, and makes a good theoretical basis for further achieving industrialization fault diagnostic monitoring and diagnostics in the future. Visible, the diaphragm pump spindle fault diagnosis based on the vibration signal is viable and effective. Through studying fault diagnosis method based on wavelet packet energy spectrum analysis, and fault diagnosis method HHT based on EMD, a comparative analysis of the two different processing means and analysis methods is achieved. So in actual industrial production, it can reasonable take appropriate technical means, and full use of integration and utilization of resources.
