According to its superiority of the economy and technology, AC drive technology has been the main development direction of China’s railway and urban rail vehicles. For most of labs, high power AC drive test can’t be afforded, so this paper designs a kind of reciprocal power-fed AC drive test system on the basis of intensive study in the AC drive system. This kind of system is provided for the urban rail transit electric traction and control as a stable and reliable test platform.This paper expounds that the operation principle and the energy saving principle of mutual feedback test system for urban rail vehicles in detail, and the traction and braking characteristics of urban rail vehicle. For this kind of system, this paper proposes a kind of combined control strategy for double-motor model based on space vector control. And set up the twin motors model and SVPWM model. It also analyzes the important module in control system and realizes the simulation system finally. According to the show of the simulation results, the system in the steady state performance and the regulation of the torque and rotational speed of the motor is good, and can simulates the traction starting and braking condition of urban rail vehicle,to validate the correctness of the proposed control strategy.The test system is made up of two parts:the common DC bus system and measurement and control system. The common DC bus system is built by three VACON inverters and two ABB three phase asynchronous motors on the basis of the common DC bus technology. The hardware system of the measurement and control system includes torque meter and data acquisition card; the software system is completed in LabVIEW. The measurement and control system can achieve remote starting and control. It can communication with three inverters to display the system parameters in real-time through acquisition card. And it also can draw the corresponding parameter graphics when the motors start and brakes. Through the steady state experiment, starting and electric braking traction experiment, some data are obtained and compare with each other. This indicates that the purpose of simulating operating condition of urban rail vehicles on this kind of platform is executed.
