To adapt to anti-ship weapons’ increasingly power in the modern battlefield and make up for the lack of "blind spot" existed in radar scan, the suspended projectile is proposed. It is a kind of new "passive" low-altitude defensive weapons. It could be dispatched on the routes which enemy missiles or aircraft must pass by to build a barrier to protect our own ships and important military base. This paper mainly studied the problem about the establishment of trajectory calculation model and solved problems related to trajectory program of the rotor-type suspended projectile. The study provides beneficial and theoretical help for engineering design of the suspended projectile.According to analysis of trajectory characteristic and structure characteristic of suspended projectile, fifteen kinds of trajectory program was summarized and simplified, and it provided preliminary groundwork for the later trajectory program description and analysis. Based on analysis of unique aerodynamic characteristics of the rotor system in the process of falling, combination of blade element theory and momentum theory, and previous empirical formulation, the dynamic model of the rotor system in the process of falling was built. Though analysis of an example drawn that there would be serious tension loss phenomenon when the ratio of face velocity Vc and induced velocity vh was-1.4and under stall conditions. By selecting and transforming suitable coordinates and analysis of suspended projectile’s driving and body mechanics respectively, individual general motion equations of both mechanics were built. In the use the relations between the two rigid body parts as a link and combination with the dynamic model of the rotor system in the process of falling, suspended projectile’s trajectory calculation model was built completely. Then the equation has been programmed and calculated by replacing Euler angle with quaternion which could avoid singularities problem caused by Euler angle.Based on the above research, relative parameters and initial conditions about the suspended projectile were given. According to the principle that the suspended projectile decelerates, despins faster and suspending longer, certain driving energy, the best trajectory form, structural form and the size of the drive torque could be got by calculating and analyzing the fifteen kinds of trajectory program. This research lay a foundation for the following design and control strategy of the suspended projectile’s floating mechanism and had a certain reference value too.
