Uhvdc transmission which has the advantages of long distance, large capacity, low loss, is the implementation of "China" strategy,and is the effective ways to realize the optimal allocation of resources. Converter transformer as the core equipment of uhv dc transmission system, the partial discharge test is directly related to the safety of the dc transmission system.±800kV converter transformer is the highest voltage level of the transformer, therefore, the research of the partial discharge test has the very vital significance.In this paper the partial discharge test of transformer are analyzed in systematic theory research, combined with practical experience of the uhv test hall, puts forward a parallel resonant test method, and using the method of parallel resonant studied±800kV converter transformer test. Parallel resonant can adjust output frequency, continuously for the adjustment of the compensation capacity is very beneficial in the test, the test is carried out under the close loop resonance frequency can, in principle and in practice it is perfect. First of all, in this paper, the ordinary transformer and+800of converter transformer partial discharge are studied comparative analysis,the principle of partial discharge are analyzed, the paper introduces the transformer partial discharge detection method and±800kV converter transformer insulation properties. Parallel resonant method are analyzed theoretically in±800kV feasibility of converter transformer partial discharge test. Then, using the energy integral method, entrance capacitance of transformer in detail the theoretical derivation and analysis of the theoretical value and practical value, prove the experiment selected the correctness of the capacitance. According to the existing instruments and equipments, uhv test hall adopts parallel resonance test method, to develop a plus or minus±800kV converter transformer partial discharge test scheme. Field test and analysis of test result judgment, parallel resonance method is proved by the practice in+800kV feasibility of converter transformer partial discharge test. This paper adopts parallel resonance test method to test provides a new train of thought, for later similar converter transformer partial discharge test to provide the reference.
