Cancellous Bone Soup Therapy Assessment Of Diabetic Osteoporosis

Objective:Observe the safety and efficacy of TCM Gu-Song decoction to diabetic osteoporosis (DOP) patients.Methods:80patients with Diabetic Osteoporosis were randomly divided into Gu-Song decoction treatment group and Basic treatment group. Basic treatment group use the basic treatment of diabetes. Vitamin D3calcium carbonate tablets and Alendronate sodium tablets. Gu-Song decoction treatment group, while using the basic treatment plus TCM Gu-Song decoction; The patients’ symptoms, signs, blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin Bone mineral density, the Insulin-like growth factor-1and type I procollagen N-terminal propeptide. before and after treatment were observed. And comprehensive efficacies were evaluated.Results:Gu-Song decoction treatment group, there were15cases markedly effective, effective in22cases, ineffective in3patients. The effective rate was37.5%, and total effective rate was92.5%.Control group,10cases markedly effective.17cases effective and9cases ineffective, markedly effective rate was27.8%, total effective rate was75%and difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Gu-Song decoction treatment group can significantly add to the leveles of Bone mineral density, improve symptoms signs, IGF-1and PINP of the patients.The difference of two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant safety index in the testing process, and a low incidence of adverse reactions, so the clinical application was safe.Conclusions:The TCM Gu-Song decoction can significantly improve the clinical symptoms, add to Bone mineral density and the level of IGF-1, reduce PINP, effectively improve the status of Bone metabolism and Glucose metabolism, thus can earlier prevent the occurrence and development of DOP, while the incidence of adverse reactions is low.
