| Purposes:1. The symptoms and syndromes of adult mycoplasma pneumonia viewed by traditional Chinese medicine (hereinafter abbreviated as TCM), the age phases, seasons, chest radiograph, and features of blood routine examination are analyzed。 The syndrome characteristics of adult mycoplasma pneumonia as well as the relationship between the occurrence and age phases and seasons provide the basis to reveal the dialectical rules of TCM.2. The characters of the distribution of the symptoms of adult mycoplasma pneumonia viewed by TCM are investigated, and the methods of data clustering analysis and principal component analysis are adopted to excavate the syndrome and symptom information of TCM, and the common symptoms of mycoplasma pneumonia, the rule of syndrome of TCM as well as the interrelationships between the two are explored. Methods:Among fever outpatients with mycoplasma cultured positive cases of pneumonia in Dong fang Hospital from August2010to April2011, selecting75patients met the inclusion criteria were collected, including gender, age, onset season, blood routine test, chest x-ray report and symptom information of four diagnostic methods of TCM. According to the diagnostic criteria of TCM syndrome differentiation, we adopt the SPSS21.0for statistical processing of data collection, summarizing different TCM Syndromes of patients with MPP, and analyzing correlation between each type of syndrome and the age and season.Analysis on the types of syndrome:Collection of information is conducted comprehensively according to the investigation questionnaire on the information of four TCM diagnostics, which is also input into the information collecting and analyzing system. The SPSS21.0software is used to analyze the frequencies, clustering, and major elements on the information of symptom and syndromes involved in the75cases that are researched and collected.Result:1. According to the analysis on the syndrome frequency of the adult mycoplasma pneumonia, the persons who have these illnesses are mainly middle-aged and young ones under50years old. Their fevers are mainly in middle and severe degree and have the characters of high fever and light cold. The major symptoms in lung mainly include dry cough without or with a little phlegm, and some even get deteriorated at night.44%the cases have symptoms of pharyngeal itching, while20%cases are accompanied with wheezing and shortness of breath. According to the frequencies from high to low respectively, pain in head and body, dry mouth, thirsty, constipation, Stuffy nose with or without runny snot, and sore throat are the most common accompanying symptoms. Symptoms in ears account for9.3%.2. They have been divided into six syndromes according to the syndrome factors and combined with the diagnostic standards of TCM, which are syndrome of redundant lung-stomach heat, syndrome of lung invaded by hot wind, syndrome of lung obstructed by heat and phlegm, syndrome of muscle tension or twitch due to redundant wind, syndrome of lung hurt by dryness evil, syndrome of lung invaded by cold wind according to the frequencies from high to low respectively. Among them, the introduction of the syndrome of muscle tension or twitch due to redundant wind is the meaningful supplement to the TCM syndrome of adult mycoplasma pneumonia.3. The different TCM syndromes of mycoplasma pneumonia are related to the existence of seasons. The overall peaks of illness occurrence are mainly in the seasons of autumn and winter. After analyzing the relationship between various syndromes and seasons, it has been found through statistics that the rates of occurrence of syndrome of lung hurt by dryness evil in season of autumn and winter is significantly higher than those in other seasons,P=0.011is of statistical meaning. The statistical result on the relationship between syndrome of lung invaded by hot wind and season is P=0.061, indicating that the lung invaded by hot wind tends to occur in spring.4The different syndromes and age phases of mycoplasma pneumonia are of significant statistical meaning (P<0.05). Among them the syndrome of lung hurt by dryness evil is mainly found in the age phases from26to50and below25, which is obviously more than that in the age phase more than50. According to analyses, there is statistical distinction on the relationship between the syndrome of lung hurt by dryness evil and age phase (P<0.05). The syndrome of lung obstructed by heat and phlegm is more likely to occur in age phases of26-50and above50than that in the age phase below25. There is a trend that statistical distinction is likely to be formed between the syndrome type of lung obstructed by heat and phlegm and ages.(P=0.074).3. Analyses on cluster and major components are conducted on the symptoms of mycoplasma pneumonia. The natural cluster forms five types, and the TCM syndrome characters of these five types are almost in conform to the actual clinical conditions. Conclusion:The distribution of TCM syndromes of adult mycoplasma pneumonia is of particularity, and relevancy exists in different TCM syndromes and seasons as well as age phases. Analyses on cluster and major components are conducted on the symptoms of mycoplasma pneumonia. The natural cluster forms five types, providing objective and reliable basis for dialectical treatment. |
