Adhering Overall Concept and Differential Treatment,Professor Xiao Chengzong adopts a program of in dividual therapy using herbal medicines.As a result,this method can relieve clinical sy mptoms and increase pregnancy rate. Therefore, under the era of big data, it is necess ary to analyze those large amounts of clinical data using modern mining techniques.In this way,we can initially explore prescription regular patterns including single herbs,co mbination of herbs,core combination and alternative new prescription. So it is better to contribute to guide treatment,improve clinical efficacy and investigate pathogenesis on TCM,expecting to provide scientific basis for PCOS research on TCM.Objective: This st udy expects to probe Professor Xiao Chengcong’s drug laws and speculation characteri stic on treating Polycystic Ovary Syndrome,using data mining techniques. Method:collec t and select effective clinical cases about Polycystic Ovary Syndrome treated by Profes sor Xiao Chengzong,then those cases could be input in "TCM chuancheng fuzhu syste m" and analysis by means of rule analysis, improved mutual information, complex syst em entropy cluster and unsupervised hierarchical clustering entropy. All clinical data w ould be divided into three groups according to menstrual performance. Afterwards,Over all mining together with levels respectively mining would be applicated to probe Profe ssor Xiao Chengcong’s drug laws and speculation characteristic on treating Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Results:Through Overall mining together with levels respectively mi ning those selected551prescriptions,there were a lot of results produced in all and gr ouping prescriptions, including the frequency of drug, association rules between drugs, Core portfolio and new prescriptions.Totally ten drugs appear before the frequency are respectively as follows:Dipsacus,Loranthaceae,Poria,Atractylodes, Ligustrum lucidum,Zeel and,Morinda,Cyperus,habitat and Angelica;In DUB group ten drugs appear before the fr equency are respectively as follows:Ligustrum lucidum, Dipsacus,Loranthaceae,Poria,Atra ctylodes,Morinda,White peony root,Codonopsis, Zeeland and Habitat;In oligomenorrhea group ten drugs appear before the frequency are respectively as follows:Dipsacus,Lorant haceae,Poria,Zeeland,Atractylodes, Cyperus,Angelica,Morinda,Habitat and Millettla;In ame norrhea group ten drugs appear before the frequency are respectively as follows:Poria, Dipsacus,Loranthaceae, Morinda,Cyathula,Zeeland,Ligustrum lucidum,red peony,salvia and Raw licorice. As to medicine guijing the top five in three groups are the same and r anked as follows:Liver,kidney,spleen,lung and stomach.Compared Oligomenorrhea grou p,the proportion of the liver relatively increases,and the kidney relatively fall in DUB group. the medicine siqi follow the same order ranked as:warm, flat, cold, cold and heat, embodied in the warm and the flat.As for wuwei,the top four in three groups ar e unanimous and ranked as follows:sweet,bitter,acrid and sour, Focused on performance in sweet and bitter. Compared to the group of Oligomenorrhea and amenorrhea, the d ifference is not about sweet and bitter,but the declined proportion of Xin mixed warm and the increased proportion of sour mixed cold. support association rules were adjuste d for each group,therefore each group’s prescription rules can be dynamically displayed. Among them, the core group of drugs in amenorrhea Morinda group take change,the Morinda exchanged Atractylodes.
