Hongkong,an old fishing villiage which experienced a lot of changes that make its identity belongingness confused and unstable.These changes start from1842to1997.In1842,Hongkong descended to British colony, then it became The Pearl of the Orient in70s, after that it returned to China in1997.All of these changes relate to hand over and take over of political affiliation,replacement of ideology,mix of economic status and the exclution of cultural spirit.Hongkong people now already begins to adapt to the means of expression by film since1897.They always express their mentality and ideal in the movies. The high political pressure and depressed economy in mainland China made Hongkong natives uncomfortable,this situation prejudiced them on mainland, and they expressed these prejudices and taunts by films.Before1997,Hongkong filmmakers often thought themselves as a superior, and they are used to belittle and reject the mainland people.They called them "The big circle boys", or "The north girls" as the name of all mainland people. After1997,as the strength of politics and economy became powerful.the communication between Hongkong and mainland also increased,the old attitudes of mainland were changed day by day,they began to accept the mainland.At the same time, they express the mentation of Hongkong natives by films.and the image of mainland China in Hongkong films got obviously changes compared with before.Through the analysis,I find that these obviously changes are concentrated in6aspects.They include the upgrade and profound on Mainland’s charactor image,the fuzziness of mainland geographic background and Hongkong identity, the promotion of economical status and impact index,the prominent of city’s image,the emergence of traditional culture from multiple dimensions and the transfer of culture core and pursuit the national consciousness etc.The probable reasons for these obviously changes are political smooth transition after Hongkong returned,Hongkong economy stable development tides HK over economic crisis, intercoastal cultures come down in one continuous line, eastern and western cultures blend with each other and the survival strategy of film ontology changeover etc. In the new historical period,as the link between Hongkong and mainland China is increased,the sense of identity on mainland from Hongkong people also has been promoted.The contact of film and related fields reached an unprecedented height, this promotes the development of intercoastal economy and culture greatly.
