| The children grow in the environment of relationship. As mothers are the children’s prime caregivers, the early maternal parenting provided the children vital relation experience. The prefrontal cortex shows delayed development after born, which provides the possibility for the effect of environment. However the development of the execution function is related to the mature of the prefrontal cortex, so the early maternal parenting may be influence the execution function. In order to analyze the relationship between the early parenting and the execution function, this study visited65families for the maternal sensitivityã€mind-mindednessã€autonomy support of9month and14month by structured family observation and for the execution function of24month by four execution function tasks and for the rank of cognition development of24month by Baleyâ…¢. Some demography variables were obtained by questionnaire.The findings of this study are:(1) The maternal autonomy support of both9-month-old and14-mo nth-old childis related to the multilocation search task which reflects the children’s working memory. After controlling the mother’s bearing age, the maternal autonomy support of14-month-old child can significant predict the multilocation search taskof2-year-old child; The maternal mind-mindedness of9-month-old-child is significant related to the reverse categorization task which reflects the children’s attention flexibility and the mind-mindedness of14-month-old child is marginally related to it; The maternal autonomy supportof9-month-old-child is significant related to thetoy delay task which reflects the children’s inhibitory control. After controlling the children’s rank of recognition development, the maternal autonomy support of9-month-old child can marginally predict the toy delay task of2-year-old child.(2) The maternal sensitivity of14-month-old child marginal moderate the relationship between maternal autonomy support of14-month-okl child and the multilocation search task.When maternal autonomy support of14-month-old child is high, the children of high maternal sensitivity of14-month-old child have a better performance on the multilocation search task than those of low maternal sensitivity.(3) The change of maternal autonomy support has a significant effect on the multilocation search task of the execution function. The difference between increase and tow all the time of the maternal autonomy support is marginally significant, but the difference between high all the time and decrease/low all the time of the maternal autonomy support is significant. |
