It Was Fun - Of "Still Life Painting" In The "prime" And "quiet.

In the development of art history, artists are always eager to depict still lives in their works, like still life painting in the west and brushworks of flowers and birds in China. The still lives in their works are more than a simple image of some object, something beyond the image is conveyed. In this thesis, SU and JING are selected as the key words to analyze the cultural connotation of still life painting based on traditional Chinese aesthetic standards.Firstly, still live painting, which is mainly discussed in this thesis, is close to everyday life and brings a cordial feeling to us. In "QIWULUN", Chuang-tzu thought that the world consists of tiny objects, and every object has its own value. This is in accordance with the fact that painters use still life painting to express their understanding and the intrinsic value of objects. On one hand, still life painting is discussed in a painting view. On the other hand, via the interpretation of SU and JING, the cultural connotation of still life painting, together with its special significance in modern art, are analyzed.Secondly, Chinese and western aesthetics and art works are discussed based on Chinese aesthetic standard and western art theories. Through the reviewing related theories and works from both China and the west, some works with similar meaning are selected and researched. Still lives from both China and the west are integrated and discussed from the SU and JING perspectives.Thirdly, our life in the modern society is glutted with vast quantities of information. How to select proper information and keep inner peace in this information flood is important. KONG, WU and some other traditional Chinese wisdom show us the way to keep our own cultural principle. Still life painting discussed in this thesis may be plane or pale in this multi-culture society, but it has unique significance deserves our attention.
