The opera "Xiao Erhei’s marriage" was written by Tian Chuan, Yang Lanchun,composed by Ma Ke,Qiao Gu,He Fei and Zhang Peiheng in1952. After debuted in Beijingin January1953, this opera has aroused extensive interests in the opera world ofBeijing even the whole nation. Since then, this opera has been staged all over thecountry. The character Qin’s aria “the clear water and blue sky”which is stillcherished today is one of the most classical songs in this opera and it has becomeone of the most popular opera arias in Chinese modern music history.The opera "Xiao Erhei’s marriage" with a pair of rural youths’ love story asthe main line,which displayed the people are the masters of our country under theleadership of the new democratic regime and the age theme of freedom of marriage.In music creation, this opera has chosen traditional opera as the basis to creatthe new form of Chinese national opera, consulted the traditional opera plate cavitystructure to advance the plot and create characters. The melody style with strongnational color is simple and beautiful.Based on the opera "Xiao Erhei’s marriage", my paper will pay main attentionon the Aria "the clear water and blue sky". This paper is divided into three parts,the first part is a brief summary of the background and the content of the opera"Xiao Erhei’s marriage"; in the second part, I will make a concrete analysis fromthe music melody lines, articulation tune singing skills and music image emotionthese three aspects of the Aria "the clear water and blue sky"; in the third part,I will immerse my concert experience into my paper to express the differentperforming styles between the opera stage and concert stage.
