These researches always neglect the comprehensive understanding about thewhole writing career of the author, especially the works written in recent years and basically,these researches are the affirmation and praise on the writing achievements of Yan’s novels.Therefore the hysteresis and one-sidedness of the academic circle’s criticism on Yan’s recentworks provide the research of this paper enormous mining space and possibilities of elucidation.The thesis takes Yan’s recent works as an entry point to probe into the merits and demeritsof her writing and especially point out the limitation and insufficiency, aiming at proceeding aconversation and establishing a healthy interactive mode between the author, academic researchand reader and providing a reference and another kind of possibility to Yan Geling or even tothe creating of contemporary literary world.The thesis is divided into five parts including three chapters besides introduction andconclusion:The introduction reveals the impact of her unique life experience on her writing and pointout the obvious difference and stage of the theme and subject in her writing by teasing Yan’sgrowing experience. Then the paper settles the research achievements and current situation ofacademic circles on Yan’s novels and point out the deficiency and disadvantage of the academicresearch to confirm the research orientation and significance of the paper.The first chapter, taking the evaluation "Yan Geling is a founder of woman empire" as theentry point, discusses that as a female writer, on one hand, she has shaped a series of persistent,tenacious, smart and competent women images because of her special awareness andunderstanding of female fate and on the other hand, she unconsciously falls into the restriction ofmale discourse and the legendary description of "blessed motherhood" and "maternal emotion"pass the thought of patriarchal discourse virtually.
