The Documentary "The Story Of" The Origin And Evolution Of Narrative Technique

All documentary creations of each era will be influenced by various factors such as the appreciation habits of the people, filming technology and production skills, aesthetic concepts and the real concept of documentary filmmaker. The documentary has a history of over90years, counting from North Sihanouk. In these90years the foreign documentaries have made considerable developments and formed a complete theoretical system. Summed the development of overseas documentary history, the creation mode of documentaries can be roughly divided into convince mode, observation mode, participation mode, introspective mode; these four creative modes are produced under the guidance of a particular real concept. At the same time, there is a huge difference in the adoption of dramatized narrative.Because of the special situation in our country, since the foundation to the1990s the documentary was in a mode of screen plus commentary (convince modes)in a long time, but with the deepening of Chinese foreign exchange and the change of people’s appreciation habits and government’s emphasis on the development of improved documentary, the creative mode of documentaries has experienced earth-shaking changes. Many dramatized narrative methods are increasingly used in the process of documentary production, but because our documentary was in a state for development for a long term and did not form a complete theory, so in the use of the dramatized narrative exist a lot of problems, such as documentary "story" of narrative rationality, the confict between documentary authenticity and story narration mode,what scale story narration mode should grasp. In our country, story narration mode seems to be fresh product, in fact, foreign documentary story narration mode already has existed for long time, its origin can be traced back first documentary-"North Sihanouk", since then there has been lots of development on story narration mode.The present article attempts to find out the development track of the dramatized method of narration through the investigation of narrative methods on the foreign documentary history of the development of different production mode of dramatization. In addition story narration mode is under the guidance of the real concept, this article not only studied story narration mode, but also on real concept that held by different genres documentary. Taking those as a basis of theory and practice reference for dramatized narration of domestic documentaries.
