This study intends to explore the influence of pseudo-environment information on the identifying real environment under the condition of different presentations and different numbers, to analyze the relevant reasons, which accounts for such influence. The purpose of the study is to provide reference for the readers on how to understand the world better as well as on how to improve the development of mass media. We collecting data by recording the participants’track of eye movements in the process of learning pseudo-environment information and distinguishing real environment.The experiment was divided into four groups, with the same experimental procedure. The participants were asked to learn the pseudo-environment, showing by the way of pictures or characters. Then they were required to give an oral report on how they identify the information, showed by videos. Their accuracy to the answers is recorded for analysis. The experiment used Tobii X120eye tracker to record their eye movement data.The findings are as follow:1) a significant main effect of interest was found. When the information, which was learned before, shows again, the participants pay more attention to them. If they have learned the information, their attention declined.2) on the time of total fixation, there is a interact effect of interest, methods and number. Given the information learned, if the number is3, the time of picture is longer the that of characters, if the number is5, the situation is totally opposite. Given the information not learned, if the number is3, the time of picture is longer than that of characters, if the number is5, the situation is opposite too.3) On the time of total fixation and number of fixation, the interact effect of method and number is significant. If the number is3, the time of picture is longer than that of character, the number of fixation is more. If the number is5. the time of character is longer, its numbers of fixation is more too.4) there is no difference between the methods and number. The identify is affected by their interacted effect. If the number is3, the accuracy of character is higher, if the number is5, the accuracy of picture is higher.Based on the above results, we could figure out the following conclusions:1) the pseudo-environment information has an impact on participants’identity of real environment. They tend to focus on the emphasized information and neglect the information that are not emphasized.2) there is minor difference between the presentation and numbers of pseudo-environment. The participants both have an higher distinguish accuracy, it only have statistical significant difference. How to find the better way to present information is still needed to explore.3) pseudo-environment has an influence on participants’recognition of real information by affecting their way of choosing extracting and processing of information.
